Among the Linnell drawings in the Victorian and Albert Museum is a design for a tripod table on an ogee base that dates from about 1760. It is illustrated in P. Ward-Jackson, English Furniture Designs of the Eighteenth Century, London, 1958, fig.191. A table inspired by the design is illustrated in R. Edwards and P. Macquoid, The Dictionary of English Furniture, London, rev.ed., 1954, vol.III, p.316, fig.32.
