A GEORGE III MAHOGANY AND SPECIMEN WOOD BREAKFRONT BOOKCASE, in the manner of George Simson, inlaid overall with ebonised and boxwood lines, the moulded simulated-dentil cornice above a plain frieze with oval patera-headed pilaster strips in amaranth and rosewood wood, with a central pair of oval glazed doors enclosing two adjustable shelves flanked by two further doors enclosing three shelves, above a breakfront base section with two central oval panelled doors enclosing a fitted interior with two short and one long mahogany-lined drawer with adjustable slide, flanked to each side by five graduated short mahogany-lined drawers, two fitted, up on a moulded plinth (3 panes cracked), with depository label as above
