Case: Painted enamel scene on copper depicting a cherub reading a book at the lap of a lady, the book inscribed Ecole d'Amour pour ce faire aimer, the sides of the case with landscape vignettes separated by acanthus leaf scrolls, with loose-ring pendant, and later gilt-metal rim and bezel, the interior of the case painted with a scene of a ruined castle
Dial: Gilt champleve with Roman numerals, inner quarter-hour ring, repousse scroll work to the centre, inscribed on two cartouches Quare, London, with chased and facetted steel hour hand
