A YELLOW AND RUSSET JADE HORSE, AND A WHITE JADE ELEPHANT

The recumbent horse carved with head sharply turned to the right and resting on its back, the mane and upward-turned tail lightly incised, the underside with three legs tucked beneath the body, the stone of graded warm yellowish tones with russet streaks; the elephant carved with its large head turned to the rear and holding a lotus pod with its trunk, supporting two figures washing the elephant with a pail of water and a brush on its back, the translucent stone with russet streaks and some white clouding, minor extremity chips
