A PALE CELADON JADE CARVING OF GUANYIN AND AN IVORY STAND

The slender figure of the Bodhisattva dressed in flowing robes falling in thick folds from the shoulders down to the foot and revealing only the toes, her left hand holding a scroll, and a small area of her chest adorned with a beaded necklace, the oval head framed by neatly coiled hair, the stone of an even pale celadon tone with some mottled white inclusions, the ivory stand carved as a double-lotus platform
