Lot Essay

The quality of the paper and the printing of this example matches the Tomás Harris special issue of the First Edition in the British Museum - although the sheet sizes of the latter are slightly smaller (225 x 328mm. compared with 238 x 348mm.). Harris' belief that this may be one of the rare Presentation copies for the Royal Family and Ministers appears to be confirmed by the provenance of the present example
