etching with drypoint and engraving, 1651, on fine laid paper, watermark Pascal Lamb (similar to Churchill 456, dated 1657), the very rare first state (of six), a very fine and clear impression, printed with a delicate tone and with horizontal wiping scratches, with narrow margins, a short, very skilful repaired tear at the upper right edge, one or two other tiny repairs at the margin edges, a very soft crease noticeable on the reverse at the lower left corner, a small thin spot at the lower reverse left corner, generally in very good condition
