Lot Essay

Pro Eto was the first book, other than the earliest issues of Lef which Rodchenko illustrated with photomontages. They remain some of his most artistic and imaginative designs. Each carefully illustrates and expands an episode in the poem by Maiakovskii about his love affair and subsequent isolation from his mistress Lilya Brik

Examples in good condition are extremely difficult to find
