Blue and white Yongzheng mark and period meiping with this design appear to be quite rare. Compare the mark and period meiping with a similar design on the shoulder and stiff leaves around the foot but with a more sparse design of floral clusters exhibited Qing Imperial Porcelain of the Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong Reigns, Nanjing Museum, Hong Kong, 1995, Catalogue no.41; and the two vases of different shapes and sizes to the present lot, but with a very similar design of densely scrolling flowers, included in the same exhibition, ibid., no.43, which has a Yongzheng seal mark, and no.48, which has a Yongzheng six-character mark.
