yongzheng six-character mark and of the period
Both the bowl on a short cylindrical foot and the cover with a circular finial finely painted and enamelled with two long sinuous dragons above turbulent waves beside cloud scrolls and two flaming pearls, both sections with six small notches at the rim, cover rim restored
8 1/8in. (20.6cm.) diam.

Compare the pair of very similar bowls and covers, originally in the Collection of H.R.H. The Duke of Gloucester, K.G., illustrated by S.
