A MAGNIFICENT RANGE OF RARE RED AND WHITE BURGUNDY Lying at Christie's The Property of M. Pierre Seguin of Seguin-Manuel The family business of Seguin-Manuel, Burgundy, Domaine and Négociant has historical roots dating back to 1720, when the first records of the company's vines in Savigny is recorded. The négociant business was founded in 1824, and M. Pierre Seguin is the seventh generation of Seguin to run the business. Now with roughtly 3.5 hectares of Savigny under production, their main business is as a negociant, and it is in this capacity that they have always made a point of holding back in their cellars (which themselves date back to the fourteenth century) a quantity of wines from the greatest years, either for consumption or release later. They have remained in these cellars uncapsuled and unlabelled and have now been prepared especially for shipment to London for this sale. All are of impeccable appearance, with new capsules and labels, and excellent levels
