A RARE GREY AGATE BIRD FINIAL

The stylised bird crisply carved with incised eyes and beak, the stone of pale tone with dark grey and yellow veins, the underside drilled with a round aperture containing remnants of corroded bronze, the polished stone with some pitting
2¾in. (7cm.) long

This has been tested and shown to be NEPHRITE JADE not AGATE.

The carving should be dated: probably Yuan/Ming dynasty.
