A BRONZE PENDANT RELIQUARY CROSS
ASIA MINOR/PALESTINE, 6TH TO 9TH CENTURY

Hinged at the bottom, the suspension loop forming part of the clasp at the top, engraved on one side with the Virgin in prayer, identified by an inscription, and on the other side with a cruciform pattern with five settings for glass inlay, now lacking.
The surface oxidised; original clasp-pin lacking; minor damage to upper clasp.
