The ivory panels decorated overall with penwork borders and tableaux of mythological and historical scenes, the hinged lid with functioning lock, opening to reveal four further compartments, each with a hinged lid and with ivory and ebony interiors.
The ivory panels adapted; minor cracks; replacements; damage to two feet.
