Of lobed leaf-shaped form, each enamelled at the centre with a coat-of-arms within floral and feathery mantling, within flower sprays and a spearhead band at the rim, minor restoration to handles, one with restored rim chip

Lot Essay
The arms are those of Wilson. See D. S. Howard, op.cit., p.516, where the author suggests that this service may have been made for Thomas Wilson, who married Mary Hawley of Oakham in 1768.
