His widow, Jonkvrouw Anna Louisa Agatha van Winter (1793-1877), after whose death the collection was sold en bloc by her nine surviving children in 1878 to Baron Lionel de Rothschild, who intended to divide it between his three sons but housed the present picture at The Baron's Room, 148 Piccadilly until his death the following year
His son, Leopold de Rothschild, Gunnersbury Park, Middlesex and by descent to the present owner
