A SHOT-PROOF HELMET, of riveted iron plates, the rounded skull with wide band encircling the head at the brow, made in one with a narrow brim and supporting a skull formed of two cross-shaped bands lined with four rectangular plates (one holed), fixed nasal set with four pyramidal spikes, and fixed cheekpieces, probably 17th Century; and a kettle-hat in 14th Century style, made in one piece, the slightly tapering cylindrical skull of flattened conical shape on top, and with downturned brim with inturned edge (both rust patinated throughout)
