A FINE FRENCH PERCUSSION TARGET PISTOL with reblued fluted sighted rifled barrel signed 'Fni P Le Page Moutier à Paris' in gold on the top flat and encrusted in gold at the muzzle and breech with panels containing symmetrical designs of stylised foliage, case-hardened breech tangs and breeches numbered 1 and 2 and encrusted in gold en suite, locks and reblued mounts encrusted in gold with scrolling foliage, the latter comprising spur trigger-guard and shaped baluster pommel, and ebony half-stock with partly fluted butt profusely carved in relief with vine-leaves and foliage against a granular ground, St. Etienne proof marks, circa 1850
