A PAIR OF FRENCH SILVER-MOUNTED FLINTLOCK PISTOLS made for the Turkish market, with two-stage barrels damascened with gold stars, turbans and garlands, the breeches chiselled in high relief with running flowers and foliage against a punched and gilt ground, signed rounded locks en suite, gold-lined pans, moulded figured walnut full stocks inlaid with silver wire scrolls, silver mounts cast and chased in high relief with trophies of arms against a gilt ground, and ivory-tipped whalebone ramrods (trigger-guards repaired), by H.
