Prior to building an automobile bearing his name, Louis Delage worked for the Turgan-Foy and Peugeot automobile factories. His first car was a modest single cylinder 6½ horsepower (De Dion engine) produced in 1905. By 1907 Delage was a frequent entry in the voiturette and voiture lagère classes. The success of these specially built and prepared machines boosted sales of the Delage production cars and the company expanded rapidly. By 1912, one thousand cars per year were being produced and they had earned a reputation for consistant reliability and were easy to drive.

The AH was the first six cylinder model and was designed by Arthur-Léon Michelat. This car is in fine condition finished in white with black and maroon coachlines. The original Phares Besnard head and side lamps are still with the car as well as a fine boa constrictor horn. The black canvas hood appears to be original and is in good condition. The last MoT expired in April 1992, but the car is still in running order.
