COACHWORK BY BARKER

Chassis No. GXM 43
Engine No. C25B

The 25/30hp Rolls-Royce was launched in the spring of 1936 as a successor to the popular 20/25 model. The improved design had an increased engine capacity of 4,257cc with a boost in horse power from 70bhp to 115bhp. The overall design of the chassis was stronger enabling coachbuilders greater freedom in the range of body styles. These changes also enhanced the overall performance of the model which could achieve a top speed of 80mph depending on the coachwork.
This four door saloon by Barker is finished in maroon and black with a gold coachline. There is a sliding glass divider between driver and passenger compartments and there are walnut veneered cocktail cabinets and a radio in the rear.
Both the original log book and V5 registration document are available as well as an original handbook. The car is in very good condition and was cherished by its last owner who loved to drive it. The last MoT expired in July 1992.
