An unusual drawing for this period as it combines elements from the geometric stencil design for the walls of the Hall-Parlour at 78 Derngate, Northampton, with shapes which are reminiscent of the stylised figures in the interiors of the two cabinets made for 14 Kingsborough Gardens and Mackintosh's own house in 1902. The design was eventually rejected and replaced by curtains which are much closer to Mackintosh's contemporary textile designs and may, in fact, have been made from such commercially available fabrics.
