A 1/12 scale drawing for the Order Desk Chair at the Willow Tea Room, Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow. This is one of Mackintosh's best known chairs, its fretted back arranged in the form of a stylised willow tree whose canopy rises upwards and then droops back down to earth. It formed a focal point in between the Front and Back Saloons of the Willow Tea Rooms, where the manageress relayed order from the waitresses to the kitchens beneath her.
