Gennert, NYC., 35mm., polished mahogany body with brass strap re-enforcements, hand-cranked, with crank-handle, film aperture viewing hole with shutter and handle, two 32-tooth sprockets with double roller sprocket guards, swinging gate with removeable plate and height adjustment, Prestwich-type double claw movement, internal angle mirror unit for viewing image on gate, two internal film magazines, replacement carrying strap, brass footage dial calibrated from 0-360ft, crank-shaft for 8-frames per turn and another crank-shaft for one-frame per turn, the internal film transport mechanism using a brass gear/pulley arrangement with a sprung metal belt and a brass plunger with internal ratchet, with a Bausch & Lomb Tessar SERIES 10 lens no. 2945652, engraved PAT.FEB. 24. 03, with a varibale blade shutter and a film punch plunger

This camera is an American copy of a Prestwich No.5. The top tripod bush is probably for inverting the camera to achieve 'reverse action' shots. The gate is adjustable to compensate for the change in frameline that this technique creates.
