Wanli six-character mark in underglaze blue and of the period (1573-1619)
The cover decorated on top with two dragons contesting a flaming pearl within a quatrefoil cartouche reserved on a diaper ground above panels of fruiting peach trees on the molded sides and four of the babao and lingzhi on the indented corners, with a band of penciled scrolls on the rim in shaped panels, the box with panels of birds in fruiting and blossoming trees on the sides and flower sprigs at the corners below a band of leaf scroll
