A Rare Early Jade Necklace Ornament
Neolithic Period, circa 3000 BC
One half of a horizontal, bar-like pendant of flattened oval section, with a pierced angular terminal at one end where a shallow groove extends from the flat upper edge to the small hole on one side, the other end pierced with a vertical channel into which two deep grooves extend from the flat oval end, the jade now opaque and of mottled buff, reddish-brown and dark grey color
