Two Early Jade Pendants
Shang/early Western Zhou dynasty, 11th-10th century BC
One a thin, flat plaque carved as a crouching, bottle-horn dragon with beveled edges, the features delineated by thin grooved lines, pierced through the mouth, of grey-green color with areas of buff alteration; the other a fish simply carved with circular eyes and fins, the body tapering towards the edges and the notched tail beveled, pierced through the mouth, the stone now opaque and of olive-buff color from alteration in burial
