A White Jade Dragon Pendant
Late Eastern Zhou dynasty, 5th-4th century BC
The flat plaque cut out as a slender dragon with slightly arched body, short upturned tail and hooked fins, the body carved in low relief with interconnected comma spirals and the head with small incised eyes, upturned snout and a band of fine striations outlining the slit mouth, pierced through the body, the stone semi-translucent and of white tone
