**A Rhinoceros Horn Lotus Leaf-Form Libation Cup
Late Ming dynasty, 16th-17th century
The large leaf carved around the base with swirling waves and around the sides in high relief with nine lively chilong of varying size crawling up to, and in some cases over, the rim to peer into the interior, one with a bird's head, the two largest forming the handle at one end, of deep honey color shading to reddish brown on the interior
