Further details
With the Pirkka series of furnishings from 1955-1962, Tapiovaara sought to re-contextualise traditional rural Finnish furniture within the modern domestic urban environment. The range, which included dining, lounge and sauna furniture, allied implicit handcrafted traditionalism with modern production and distribution techniques.
