Further details
Yonel Lebovichi began his career in 1959 working for the Société Nationale de Constructions Aéronautiques du Sud-Est, a manufacturer of aeroplanes and helicopters. In 1962 he entered the Conservatoire des Arts et Métiers, Paris, to study industrial design, and in 1972 opened his gallery, Formes et Couleurs. His space-age and pop-art inspired creations owed much to his technical and practical training in the aeronautics industry, and by the mid 1970s his designs had become highly desirable amongst his fashionable clientele.
