One side stained red, the peg pieces in a folding box with playing board within, stamped IN STATU QUO PATENT CHESS BOARD, and with inset brass plate with J.JAQUES & SON MAKERS, LONDON, with a leather faced case with gilt heightened makers stamp, the case -- 9 7/8in. (25.1cm.) high
