A PAIR OF DUTCH BAROQUE STYLE SILVER-MOUNTED IVORY-INLAID EBONIZED THREE-BRANCH WALL-LIGHTS
19th Century
Each of cartouche form with a mask at the base surmounted by a flaming fruit-filled urn issuing engraved scrolling acanthus, the whole surmounted by a shell and centered by a silver plaque with a draped female figure with helmet, spear, and shield, possibly Diana, surmounted by two female figures reclining on cornucopia, flanked by lion's masks, issuing three branches, each lattice-engraved bobêche fronted by a lion's mask, each signed PAVLVS DE VIANA FECIT ET INVE and bearing the pseudo hallmarks E S and assay mark of a rampant lion
