Sir Matt Busby: a signed hand-written letter from Sir Matt Busby to Mr. Edward Edwards, on Manchester United headed note paper, dated 25th October 1945, inscribed Dear Ted, Many thanks indeed for your letter of kind wishes which I appreciate very much indeed. My Playing days with the "Reds" will always have happy memories for me. What a great pity the war came along when we looked like doing something. Still thats how it goes.
I am just getting settled in my new sphere and hoping I have as happy a time there as I had playing.
