Inlaid overall with boxwood lines, the rounded breakfront rectangular top crossbanded in satinwood, above two part cedar, part blue paper-lined drawers and a pair of yellow pleated silk-backed metal trellis-panelled doors enclosing a later removable shelf, on brass paw feet, inscribed in chalk on the reverse '5', one lock stamped 'BATE & CO MAKERS PATENT LEVER', the feet possibly replaced
