The sideboard-table, with its Roman tablet of a laurel festooned and sunflowered patera, is designed in the antique manner popularised by Messrs A. Hepplewhite & Co.'s The Cabinet-Maker and Upholsterer's Guide, 1788. A related tablet features on a sideboard-table illustrated in H. Cescinsky, English Furniture of the 18th Century, vol.
