The rectangular plate in an amber-coloured faceted-cube glass border and patera and foliage-hung mirrored border, flanked on each side by fluted Egyptian herm pilasters, with a stepped cornice carved with foliage, on a plinth base, regilt, later backboards, the plate resilvered, some replacements to the coloured glass

Lot Essay

This mirror is highly unusual in its use of multi-coloured cut-glass decoration, however blue glass beading is often seen on smaller Irish oval girandoles of the 18th and 19th Centuries.
