Two German striking mantel clocks, early 20th century
A small mahogany and brass-mounted mantel clock, the breakarch case with brass handle to the top and pilasters to the angles, on bracket feet, the silvered dial with Roman chapter ring and subsidiary slow/fast and chime/silent rings, the twin barrel movement with ting-tang strike on two gongs, stamped on the backplate for Winterhalder & Hofmeier -- 9in. (23cm.) high to hilt of handle; and an oak mantel clock with architectural case, silvered circular dial and ting-tang strike -- 14½in. (37cm.) high
