With rounded ends and separate hinged cover, the top with a depiction of the battle of Chaldiran, the sides with cartouches depicting the story of Yusuf alternating with depictions of Sheikh Sanaan and the Christian maiden or Bahram Gur hunting divided by portrait roundels between floral borders, the underside with floral cartouche, the interior of the cover depicting lion hunt cartouches divided by portrait ovals, re-lacquered, minimal restoration
