A CONTINENTAL SILVER BOX AND SAUCEBOAT
Marked with prestige marks, probably German, 19th Century
The rectangular box raised on four feet with female joins at corners, the sides chased with scenes of drunken peasants merry-making, the hinged cover with similar scene; the boat-form sauceboat on four scroll feet, the body chased overall centering two scenes of a reclining figure and cherub, the handle with female thumbpiece.
The box 9½in. (24cm.) long; total weight 42oz. (2)
