A DANISH SILVER FOUR-PIECE TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE WITH TRAY
Designed by Johan Rohde for Georg Jensen Silversmithy, post 1945
Cosmos pattern, comprising coffee pot - 45A, teapot, cream jug and covered sugar bowl - each 45C, and tray - 251B, each with subtle hammered finish, baluster form, the lower body chased with vertical fronds, with ribbed ivory handles, the pots with trifurcated and beaded join, jutting spout, the raised, partly fluted, cover topped by bud finial, the tray with part incised rim, the two curved ivory handles with reeded tapering cylindrical sockets.
The coffee pot 9½in. (24cm.) high; the tray 20in. (50.8cm.) over handles; total gross weight 135oz. (5)
