Shaped-rectangular and with moulded shell and scroll border and leaf-capped bracket handles, engraved with a band of foliate scrolls and with a coat-of-arms within a Rococo cartouche, marked on reverse - 22¾in. (58cm.)

The arms are those of Law for Edward, 2nd Baron Ellenborough, P.C., G.C.B., (1790-1874), later created 1st Earl of Ellenborough in 1844.
