PERCUSSION SPORTING GUN with browned twist sighted barrels stamped below the breech with barrelsmith's name 'Chaleyer', long tang cut with interlaced strapwork, the polished locks signed in gold and cut with engraved interlaced stylised foliage, hammers decorated en suite, highly figured walnut half-stock, the butt with cheek-piece, chequered grip, polished steel mounts decorated en suite with the locks including butt-plate and trigger-guard, iron sling swivels, and original iron-mounted whalebone ramrod, signed Conier A Strasbourg, St. Etienne proof marks, circa 1860; and a 14-bore percussion gun with three-stage rebrowned twist barrel, platinum line, long engraved tang, signed engraved back-action lock, walnut half-stock, chequered grip, engraved steel mounts (some pitting), white-metal escutcheon and fore-end cap, and original brass-mounted ramrod (in refurbished condition), signed J.
