A 5-BORE PERCUSSION WILDFOWLING GUN with rebrowned etched twist sighted barrel signed in full at the breech, case-hardened breech finely engraved with scrolling foliage and with platinum plug, broad case-hardened tang, hammer and signed lock engraved en suite with the breech, the last engraved with a duck on the tail, figured walnut half-stock, boldly chequered grip and fore-end, engraved blued steel mounts including butt-plate and trigger-guard each engraved with a goose, vacant silver escutcheon, horn fore-end cap, no provision for a ramrod, and some original finish, by George Gibbs, 29 Corn Street, Bristol, London proof marks, No. 3684, circa 1870
