A FINE LIEGE FLINTLOCK SPORTING GUN with tapering sighted barrel signed on the sighting rib and chiselled around the fore-sight and on the breech with rococo ornament in relief on a punched gilt ground, involving a bird and a martial trophy, tang en suite, flat bevelled lock also en suite and with internal cock- and steel-spring, highly figured moulded walnut full stock carved with foliage in relief around the barrel tang and rear ramrod-pipe, chiselled and gilt iron mounts involving a seated sportsman on the side-plate, a squirrel on the escutcheon, and a dolphin and a trophy of arms on the tang of the butt-plate, faceted ramrod-pipes, iron sling mounts, and original horn-tipped ramrod, by H.
