A PAIR OF CONTINENTAL PERCUSSION TARGET PISTOLS with blued octagonal rifled sighted barrels, case-hardened breeches and breech tangs, the latter with adjustable back-sights, the locks and mounts retaining their original dull grey finish, the latter including spur trigger-guards and shaped baluster pommels, figured walnut half-stocks carved with foliage in low relief against a stippled ground on the fore-ends, fluted butts, and set triggers (locks and mounts with some surface rust): in original brass-mounted lined and fitted veneered case with accessories (two missing) including bullet mould and flask, the lid decorated with brass stringing (one piece loose) and with vacant brass escutcheon, circa 1850
