AN ADAMS PATENT 54-BORE FIVE-SHOT DOUBLE-ACTION PERCUSSION REVOLVER with scroll engraved octagonal sighted barrel, foliate engraved top-strap engraved 'W.H. Richards, Oldhall St., Liverpool', scroll engraved cylinder numbered from 1 to 5, scroll engraved frame (action defective), back-strap and pommel-plate in one, engraved trigger-guard, blued rammer (blueing worn), arbor pin and hammer, chequered ebony grips studded with white-metal pellets, and retaining much of its original silvered finish overall (some flaking in places): in fitted oak case lined in blue baize and with some accessories including Tranter patent bullet mould, Birmingham proof marks, circa 1860
