A FINE PAIR OF FLINTLOCK PISTOLS with browned sighted barrels each signed on the top flat and with gold-lined touch-hole, engraved case-hardened tangs, signed and engraved case-hardened bevelled locks with rollers, semi-rainproof pans, and safety-catches also locking the steels, figured walnut full stocks, the butts (cracked above the pommel) cut with characteristic chequering, engraved blued steel mounts, blued barrel-bolts, original horn-tipped ramrods, and much original finish: in lined and fitted mahogany case with accessories including brass-mounted leather flask, the lid with illustrated trade label of W. Clark, Holborn, London, and with flush-fitting carrying handle, by Durs Egg, London, circa 1790
