FIRST EDITION. Booth was a wealthy ornithologist and sportsman who collected and prepared his own specimens. His aim always was to stuff and mount the birds in as natural an attitude and setting as possible. The plates were drawn by Neale from these displays, which on Booth's death were bequeathed to the corporation of Brighton.
