ORDNANCE SURVEY. [A collection of 89 one inch sheets of England and Wales.]. London; the Drawing Room at the Tower, [maps dated 1805-58.]
A series of 89 engraved sheets at the one inch scale, a mixed issue from the Old Series (the southern sheets) and the 'Railway series' (northern sheets), comprising sheet numbers 1-7, 9-63, 66, 68, 69, 71-95, each sheet 660 x 960mm, dissected and mounted on cloth, county boundaries hand-coloured in outline, most with the parish boundaries drawn in red. (Some light soiling, a few tears along folds, some pencil anotations on the northern sheets.) The set folded and contained in it's original publishers wooden case, with drop-flap side and brass plate lettered 'Ordnance Survey of England and Wales'.
